What does an unanswered lead cost?
A lead nobody answers in time costs nothing in the moment, and that's why it goes unnoticed. The cost shows up later: it's the customer who also wrote to a competitor and picked whoever replied first.
How to measure it
Three numbers are enough: how many leads come in a month, how many get no reply or get one the next day, and what a customer is worth. The calculator above assumes one in five; to find your own number, track for a week what time leads come in and what time someone replies.
Five things that help
- Reply right away, even just to say you've seen the message and when you'll call back.
- Ask the first useful question straight away, instead of sending a generic message.
- Follow up once with people who go quiet, within a day.
- Keep every lead in one place, not spread across phone, email and social media.
- Send a reminder the day before the appointment.
Frequently asked questions
01Where does the hourly cost come from?
It's the average labor cost in administrative and support services across the European Union in 2025, €26.40 an hour, according to Eurostat: the work of the people who answer customers and keep the calendar. It describes businesses with 10 or more employees, so for yours it may be different.
02Where do the other assumptions come from?
They're our own assumptions, spelled out: one lead in five that goes cold or gets lost today, and half of the time handed over to the AI employee. The full formula, with every assumption: How we calculate the estimate
03Do you save my numbers?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and the values you enter never reach us: we only measure which fields you change and a range for the result.
04Why isn't Vilmor's price in the calculation?
Because the price depends on what we set up. We share it on the call, once we understand what you need, before you decide anything.
